Finishes
Concrete finish is a durability decision as much as a look. Southern California sun, pool chemicals and car tires all treat these differently.
How it goes

We look at grade, drainage, soil and existing slab condition, then square-foot the scope on site rather than guessing from photos.

Line-item pricing with thickness, reinforcement and finish specified. Structural and retaining work gets engineering and a permit.

Break out and haul the old slab, compact the base, set forms and tie rebar. This stage decides whether the concrete lasts.

Pour, finish, cut control joints and cure. We tell you exactly when you can walk on it and when you can park on it.
Frequently asked
Standard broom-finish driveway replacement typically runs $12 to $18 per square foot including demolition, haul-off and base prep. Stamped or exposed aggregate finishes generally add $4 to $9 per square foot. We measure on site and quote line-item.
Foot traffic after about 24 to 48 hours, and vehicles after 7 days. Concrete keeps gaining strength for a month, but a week is the practical wait for a passenger car. We give you exact dates when we pour.
All concrete shrinks as it cures, so the goal is controlling where it cracks rather than preventing cracking entirely. Properly compacted base, correct thickness, rebar or mesh, and control joints cut at the right spacing and depth keep cracks in the joints where you will not notice them.
Replacing a driveway in the same footprint often does not require a building permit, though work in the public right-of-way or a new curb cut needs city approval. Block walls above a certain height and any retaining wall do require a permit and engineering. We handle both.
Concrete costs less up front and gives you a continuous surface. Pavers cost more but can be lifted and reset individually, handle ground movement better, and offer more design range. We install both and will tell you which fits your site and budget.
